Mango kale smoothies are the perfect way to get your day off on the right start! Super fruity and flavorful with rich nutrients to help your body thrive!
Sometime within the last year we went from almost never drinking smoothies to really making them a part of our everyday routine. This mango kale smoothie was one that Derek actually started making frequently, and it has quickly become a family favorite. It's super bright and fruity, you can't taste the kale at all, and it's packed with healthy protein, fats, and carbs!
Mango Kale Smoothie:
This mango kale smoothie comes together with 1 cup frozen mango, 1/2 banana, 2 tbsp greek yogurt, 1 cup kale, and 1/2 cup milk of your choice. I personally used almond milk for this recipe but you could use any cow, nut, or oat milk of your choice. You just need enough liquid to get everything to blend well together!
What Are the Benefits of Kale?
Kale is actually one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world. It's packed with vitamins A, K, E, B6, manganese, calcium, copper, potassium, and magnesium. Kale is also packed with Quercetin and Kaempferol which are both powerful antioxidants that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-depressant, and anti-cancer benefits. Basically, if you want to be super healthy and have a body ready to fight off anything, adding kale to your diet could only help the cause.
Mango Kale Smoothie Variations:
- Add a scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder to add a boost of protein and make this more of a complete meal.
- Add some berries to add a little more variety and great flavor!
- Add a scoop of peanut butter, or your favorite nut butter for a boost of healthy fats and protein.
- Add in chia seeds, hemp hearts, or flax seeds for even more nutritional value!
