This edible cookie dough for one recipe is perfect treat when you want that perfect cookie fix without actually baking cookies.
Are you a fan of eating raw cookie dough, but then feel a lot of guilt knowing you're eating raw eggs in the process? We've all been told our entire life that we'll die from eating raw eggs, but somehow I don't think that really stops any of us, does it? Well, if you're looking to make some cookie dough to eat, while bypassing eating baked cookies all together, I have the perfect recipe for you that will eliminate any and all guilt associated with raw eggs all together.
Is Cookie Dough Edible?
Traditional cookie dough is not edible because of the raw eggs that are often found in the batter. There are edible cookie dough recipes that are specifically made for consumption instead of baking, like the recipe you see here. There is the possibility that there are contaminates also found in raw flour that we should not consume, which is why I recommended microwaving your flour for one minute to kill off any possible lingering bacteria.
How to Make Edible Cookie Dough:
For this recipe you will cream together your butter and sugars like in a traditional cookie dough recipe. Then you'll mix in your vanilla and salt. You'll then gently mix in your flour, and fold in the chocolate chips. Once everything is well combined it's ready to eat!
